Although the amount of green designers and eco brands in Germany is still growing, the topic of eco fashion in Germany somehow slided away from the main stage again. There are some exceptions, and while H&M is buying off all the organic cotton from the market, the eco fashion avant garde have their own parties…

- Vernissage Magdalena Schafrin at Galeries Lafayette
Magdalena Schaffrin is one of the rising stars of eco fashion in Germany, who launches her sales at Galleries Lafayette. Magdalena recently stated in an interview, she’s going to get rid of seasons, because her fashion has another rhythm. That’s what I call courage.

Those Swedes certainly liked all the attention for their organic cotton line and organize a special Organic Cotton Day at the Münzsalon.

Saturday 31. January:
- 16.00 Goethe Institute meets Grass Routes
The Goethe Institute and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs organize a tour through Berlin with an international group of fashion designers. The topic of the event is “Creative Industry / Fashion with Focus on Fair Trade and Sustainability”. Satrday afternoon there’s a meeting & discussion with Grass Routes & the Sustainable Fashion Agency.
