Flashmobs in Hotpants to Fight Poverty
October 6th, 2008 by Frans Prins Posted in Activism, Blog, Fashion, Trends & MarketingIt’s activism. It’s marketing. It’s sexy. It’s fighting poverty. Pants to Poverty organizes Hotpants Flashmobs where young people gather on the streets in organic, fair trade underpants to fight poverty. Genious actions, they knwo what they are doing. And the underpants… look bright.
Is this a clothing brand? A hotpants activist community? NGO2.0? You may say it.

Isn’t this just a dirty marketing trick? I don’t believe it, it’s too obvious. And if it is, it is so sick to sell underwear with the excuse of fighting poverty. Ridiculous!

Hi Frans,
cool thing – It is an UK underwear company – I got one undie from the founder Ben which I met at a workshop in Frankfurt last month. He is really really forward thinking and knows a lot about campaining – he was working for AI before starting P2P.
