Green booktip: Sustainable Fashion & Textiles

How to green up your lifestyle in only 10 minutes! Green your wardrobe! Go eco-sexy!
Over the last year, quite a bunch of books on sustainable fashion and eco-chic ifestyle guides saw the light. Not all of go much further then offering some consumer tips, although most of them contain a lot of great ideas and simple green your life life advices.
Now, there are also a few books on sustainable fashion that are great sources of inspiration for designers. I’m reading the book Sustainable Fashion & Textiles, Design Journeys by Kate Fletcher, and it’s really a good source for those who want to learn more about concepts of sustainable production of fashion and textiles.
The book hands over a lot of new and challenging concepts, from slow fashion, cradle-to-cradle, open source design, to localized fashion production. Very informative and sometimes pretty provocative. Eespecially for fashion designers and those working in the industry this book might give you a lot of mindfood for rethinking your production concepts.

I’m on a fashion course at the moment and planning to study masters in Sustainable Fashion. This book could be exactly what i’m after. Thanks
